We got it!

Well, our agent met with their agent and then there was a conference
call and tonight I signed the papers for the new house. I'm told it is
now official.

We first looked at this house in May, but it was quite a bit out of
our range. They dropped the price about $50,000. They are paying our
closing costs and they are replastering the pool and putting in a new
deck as well as a new fence. Those the main reasons we didn't up for
the house in the beginning. Now all our objections have been taken
care of.

There's an aviary we will turn into a kennel. That will keep the dogs
from destroying the yard when we are away. We will keep the chickens.
There are about 6 of them according to Liz. I only saw 4. This should
be fun. Looking forward to the changes.

Congratulations! I like chickens too. :) If you need a "house" for the chickens, check out what the English do. http://www.twenga.co.uk/dir-Supplies,Agricultural-equipment,Hen-house and the cute Chicken Eglu http://www.omlet.co.uk/products_services/products_services.php?view=Eglu%20Cube

Wow, those are great. There's one in place there at the house, but it's pretty ratty. I'll need to get in and look at it when I move in. Whether isn't such a big deal in So. Cal where I live. But it looked to me like one wall needed a lot of work on it. Chickens weren't complaining, though. :=)

Do you live in England, Janet?

Congrats! That looks and sounds like an amazing place. If we ever make it down that way (which is possible since my wife wants to take our kids to Disney some day) we'll bring something chicken related for a house warming gift ;)
