Two weeks ago this Sunday, I started the South Beach Diet. It is certainly the best diet I have ever tried. No calories to count, no portions to weigh. The list of allowed food is long and the disallowed food is pretty obvious stuff that is bad for you anyway. In less than two weeks, I've lost 12 pounds! Tomorrow is the first day I get to eat fruit again. That will be nice.
The good thing about this diet is that it is designed for diabetics and people who have high cholesteral. That would be me! So, I should see those areas improve in time. (Don't get spastic about the diabetic thing. I'm what is known as a prediabetic. If I don't behave, I'll end up there, so I have to watch the sugar a lot.
