I just read that this has been the 4th highest year of rain in 100 years. We might end up breaking all records. My front yard is like a swamp. Poor ground can't take in anymore water. Yesterday, my friend Cindy called and told me our church parking lot was totally immersed in water and we might not be able to park there for church on Sunday(today). Her husband takes care of the pumps for us and everything turned out all right. Things were fine this morning.
Personally, I like the rain more than most people. I love how it cleans the air and gives Californians a rare opportunity to view the starts. I can't remember the last time I had to water the lawn at home, either. The pool is full. What more could I ask for?

Another Fall
Dad took another fall yesterday. This time he fell after coming out of the shower. He hit his head on the tile base of the shower. Please pray he can get his balance back. As many of you know, the doctors said the cancer has come back to his lungs, but it doesn't appear to be very much at this time. We appreciate your prayers. Pray for mom too. This is obviously hard on her.

If you were at our Valentine Luncheon Sunday, you got a real treat as we serenaded Connie Rockhill with a barbershop quartette! What fun. Click here to see the pictures -

Dad's Health
Hi everybody. We got some bad news last night. Dad's cancer has returned. He's been cancer free for 3 years. He still doesn't have brain cancer, but the lung cancer returned. The doctor said he had a few spots, whatever that means, exactly. They are going to start him on a new type of chemo. It is supposed to have fewer side effects than what he's been on. It's been a tough 3 years for him. He's lost most of his energy and ability to eat. Please keep him in your prayers. He's still sharp mentally and he desires to be able to go out an exercise. I'm hoping getting off the old medicine will give him back some energy.
We'll keep you posted.
